This week, WAY-FM’s Jeff Connell will be broadcasting from the New York and New Jersey areas affected by Hurricane Sandy.
Our friends at Samaritan’s Purse were among the first responders to get to the area and beginning assessing the needs. This week, they’re giving Jeff special access to several affected areas that have not been seen by many. Jeff will be sharing the things he sees and stories from real people who have been impacted.
“It almost seems like Hurricane Sandy is over and done to a lot of people who don’t live in that area,” says Jeff, “It’s weird, because the damage is tremendous, and the total number of people affected are likely to be larger than Katrina; yet the nation seems to have moved on to other concerns. So, our hope is to bring people outside that area a little closer to the real stories, and to emphasize the needs now – which are donations and volunteers.”
Listen to Jeff Connell during the middays all this week, on WAY-FM.
