As our current Digital Developer/Analyst is leaving, the Digital Media department at the WAYMedia Home Office is looking to fill a Digital Developer position as soon as possible.
This position is “all things code” on the WAYMedia Digital Media team. Everything from writing code, to decoding and utilizing API’s, to helping our Systems Administrator wrestle with Linux from time to time. The Digital Developer will work with contractors and the rest of the Digital Media team to ensure that WAYMedia’s digital properties remain on the cutting edge and functioning like well-oiled machines.
Qualified candidates should love code…especially Ruby. Extra points for experience with (and passion for) the Ruby on Rails framework. A little LAMP (PHP) experience wouldn’t hurt, as many of our legacy websites are utilizing the Joomla! open source CMS right now. Though we have a handful of PHP-loving contractors, our in-house guy or gal should have a working knowledge of LAMP configurations and how to troubleshoot issues should they arise.
