Bob Augsburg, Founder/President
Way-FM Network president Bob Augsburg has been working in radio since high school and loves broadcasting. In his early career, Bob worked as a DJ at many different types of secular stations in cities like Ft. Myers, Florida, Jacksonville, Charlotte, and Nashville. After coming to know Christ in 1972, he soon became involved in Christian radio working first in Nashville and eventually ending up back in his hometown of Ft. Myers, where he worked for WSOR, an inspirational station.
“This station was doing a great job ministering to adults, but my wife and I became burdened for the younger generation. There was nothing positive for them to listen to in Southwest Florida.’ In 1985, the Lord led Bob and Felice into forming a non-profit organization with the goal of being one of America’s first Christian music stations geared toward youth and young adults. In 1987, that vision became a reality with the start of WAYJ (88.7 WAY-FM), which is still on the air in Ft. Myers, Florida.
Soon after, requests came to WAY-FM to start more stations identical to the original. In 1992, WAY-FM Nashville signed on the air, and WAY-FM West Palm Beach Florida was born a year later. Today, numerous other cities throughout America enjoy the 24 hour ministry of WAY-FM. (A current list of WAY-FM stations can be viewed on our Station Listing). Bob and the Board of Directors of WAY-FM Media Group, Inc. are trusting God for new open doors so more young people can be reached.
“We are also thrilled that people all over the world can now hear WAY-FM on the internet and on the small, direct-to-home satellite dish through Sky Angel”, says Augsburg. He concludes by adding, “Pray that new stations will become available for lease or purchase so WAY-FM’s Christ-centered impact on youth and young adults will continue to grow.”

Lloyd Parker, Chief Operating Officer
A thirty year Christian music radio veteran, Chief Operating Officer Lloyd Parker joined the WAY-FM team in 2005 after a 9 year stint at EMF Broadcasting. Lloyd was most recently Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Christian Music Planet magazine.
Lloyd was born and raised in a Christian home on Long Island in New York and developed an early love for Christian music. He attended Evangel University in Springfield, MO where he graduated with a degree in Communications. It was while at Evangel, Lloyd got involved with radio, eventually managing the campus radio station, KECC. While still a junior, he became the program director of a new Christian radio station in town. Returning to New York after graduation, he spent the next two decades in radio there, including 17 years at Christian radio pioneering station, WLIX, where he was VP/General Manager. He moved to California in 1996.
Over the years, Lloyd has seen Christian music radio impact the lives of many people. Whether through the lyrics of a song or the comments of an announcer, God can use radio to encourage believers and to heal broken lives. Parker adds, “WAY-FM is an exciting, effective ministry. Each WAY-FM station touches their community in such a unique and creative way as they encourage youth and young adults in their Christian lives and introduce non-believers to Christ. I feel privileged to be a part of such a wonderful team.”
Lloyd and his wife, Ellen have been married over 25 years and have a son, Rory and a daughter, Taryn. They reside in Colorado Springs.
